Thrive Church Central Coast
Senior Leader Expression of Interest
Thrive Church Central Coast is inviting expressions of interest for the role of Senior Pastor as we move into an exciting new season of spiritual growth, discipleship, and meaningful community influence across the Central Coast.
We are looking for a Senior Leader (or ministry couple) who are both pastoral and visionary, grounded in biblical truth, Spirit led, relationally healthy, collaborative, and passionate about helping people encounter Jesus and grow in faith.
Thrive Church meets weekly 10am Sundays, with children’s ministry, a Friday night youth program, small groups, an active community meals program and involvement in overseas mission. The church is currently meeting at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Tumbi Umbi.
About Our Church
Thrive Church is a healthy, diverse and welcoming community of believers committed to helping people know Jesus, grow in faith, and live with eternal purpose.
Our Vision Statement: Here to thrive. Are you thriving?
Our Mission Statement: TOGETHER WE THRIVE
Our four key discipleship values are: Connect Deeply, Grow Stronger, Serve Faithfully, Reach Further.
Who are we
A vibrant generational church with strong children’s, youth and young adults’ ministries.
A worshipping church – we have a very strong culture of worship and a gifted and faithful team of worship leaders.
A Holy Spirit led church. We believe that the Holy Spirit leads his people and we always give space for the Holy Spirit to move and minister.
A bible believing church. We believe that the bible is the word of God and we want to engage with and grow more in God’s word. We encourage our Pastors (or someone they invite) to bring a word from the bible each week.
A salvation inviting church. We believe that God doesn’t want any to perish so we regularly give opportunities for people to give their lives to Christ.
A prayerful church. We believe in the power of prayer and encourage individual and corporate prayer.
A battle-ready church. We believe that we are in a battle and we take our place in this combat.
A church which encourages and grows our home groups. We believe that growth and pastoral care happens best in home groups.
We have a community minded culture, where every person is encouraged to contribute to and engage with their community. We provide meals to local community centres for those who are homeless or in need.
We have Missions partnerships with Stephen Joseph (church planter in Sri Lanka); Francesco Tarantino (leading an Evangelical/Pentecostal church in Roman Catholic, Bari, Italy); and with a ministry in Malaysia.
We are independent and autonomous.
Thrive Church was planted by Macquarie Life Church in 2000 and while autonomous, we continue to have an enduring relationship with them.
We are a safe church – concerned with safety for our children and the vulnerable.
We are well governed. We have a strong Board and Elders who oversee the governance of Thrive Church.
What we would like to become
As well as continuing to grow in all the areas listed above, we would like to be a church that:
Champions our people by recognising their gifts and helping them to become all that God intends for them. This may include:
Helping our people to understand the gifts that God has given them.
Encouraging them to pursue ministries that God is leading them into.
Supporting them as we are able in these endeavours.
